Rebel Strike! was a Seattle-based band with ties to the Ellensburg WA area. Their music was alternative-punk-rock. Under The Microscope Productions produced and recorded their first studio album. The album was never officially release or finished, although some of their music could be heard on their various social networking sites.
Under The Microscope Prductions was also able to procure some performances for Rebel Strike!, the most important being their first performance at the Skylark in West Seattle. The band performed there several times over an eight month period in 2009 and 2010. Although the band has officially disbanded, Under The Microscope Productions still holds the masters to their recordings. The lead vocalist and main songwriter of the group, Lakyn Bury, is back in Ellensburg working with the band Tyrannosauros Grace. Her songs are outstanding, and we hope that she might come back to them and to Under The Microscope Productions in the future.
Kenzie is a newer, younger artist from Royal City. She has two unreleased recordings that have been produced and recorded by Under The Microscope Productions. One of the recordings is finished and is a collection of purely acoustic songs written by Kenzie. The second set of recordings is the same material with a full band arrangment behind them. Both recordings will eventually be released when the second set is finished. Hopefully this will happen sometime in 2011. Kenzie has performed locally in the Central Washington Region including performances at Music in El Sol in 2009, and winning her division at the First Annual Battle of the Bands at the Grant County Fair in Moses Lake in 2010.
Open Country Joy is a band from Ellensburg, WA with a long history of performing in the surrounding area. In early 2010 Under The Microscope Productions signed a promtional contract with OJC to help with merchandizing and widening the band's performance area. Under The Microscope Productions was able to procure a spot for OJC at the Annual Seattle Hempfest on the main stage in August 2010. Under The Microscope Productions also built and currently maintains OCJ's website www.opencountryjoy.com, and we have also provided T-shirts for sale at OCJ performances. Although, the contract with OJC has recently ended, Under The Microscope Productions are still very supportive of OCJ's future successes.
